Seems like a good idea for small jobs that is not worth calling a handyman for. Service calls for any tradesman are high.

Also since it looks like it also sinks the nail, it could be great for finish work, ad if the flange on the bottom is rubber it could be used on painted surfaces by anyone without damaging it.

Certainly not good for the big jobs, but anyone that’s tried to hold a one inch nail and strike it can tell you it’s not hard…but that would make it much easier.

what! how in the world did we survive this long. I cant believe some person has the time to even create such a gadget. Ok then, give me another GREAT tool that can help me waste time pulling the 16p nail it took 3 min. to drive. And to think I get paid what I do to keep people like you from getting your little head wet!!!!

If someone is not able to hammer in a nail with a hammer.
Is it wise to suggest they use a nail gun?

It’s definitely more finger friendly than just a regular hammer+nails. Obviously the head of this gadget is much larger than that of a nail, so it would be a bit safer. However, I have to agree with whoever said, if you need this gadget, you probably shouldn’t be using a hammer anyway.

However, it would be handy if it had a feed system allowing for loading of multiple nails.

The purpose of this thing is to prevent you to hammer the nail in crooked. That’s what it does and it propably works just fine so why not get one of these?

sorry , but that doesn’t solve anything, there’s still a hammer, fingers and the requirement to hold with one and hit with the other.

far more effective to use a piece of card with a hole in!

In my opinion using plastic as a material is the first mistake. The other design flaw is “single serving” design, not being able to insert nails from the side in a cartridge. Something like a “manual” nail gun is a great idea, a spring loaded clip and you’re off! The current design would cause angled/botched nail entry. If you wanted to remove the clip for single use, it still needs a side-loader so that the nail can be stabilized more.

As long as the dummy concerned knows how to use a nail gun, then a nail gun’s fine. For the moment, this tool is simple and cool.
